THE SMITHS - Suffer little children [traducida al español]

Canción: Suffer little children
Artista: The Smiths
Álbum / EP / Single: The Smiths
Año: 1984
Letras: Morrisey

Referencias:

Suffer little children
Sufran, pequeños niños

Over the moor, take me to the moor
Por el páramo, llévame por el páramo,
Dig a shallow grave
cava una tumba poco profunda
And I'll lay me down
y yo me pondré abajo.
Over the moor, take me to the moor
Por el páramo, llévame por el páramo,
Dig a shallow grave
cava una tumba poco profunda
And I'll lay me down
y yo me pondré abajo.

Lesley-Anne, with your pretty white beads
Lesley-Ann, con tus hermosas perlas blancas,
Oh John, you'll never be a man
oh, John, nunca serás un hombre
And you'll never see your home again
y jamás verás tu hogar otra vez.
Oh Manchester, so much to answer for
Oh, Manchester, demasiado por responder.

Edward, see those alluring lights?
Edward. ¿ves esas luces radiantes?
Tonight will be your very last night
Esta va a ser tu última noche.
A woman said: "I know my son is dead
I'll never rest my hands on his sacred head"

Hindley wakes and Hindley says:
Hindley se despierta y Hindley dice...
Hindley wakes, Hindley wakes, Hindley wakes, and says:
Hindley despierta, Hindley despierta, Hindley despierta y dice:
"Oh, wherever he has gone, I have gone"
"Oh, a donde él haya ido, yo fui".

But fresh lilaced moorland fields
Pero estos frescos campos lilaceos
Cannot hide the stolid stench of death
Fresh lilaced moorland fields
Frescos campos lilaceos
Cannot hide the stolid stench of death

Hindley wakes and Hindley says:
Hindley se despierta y Hindley dice,
Hindley wakes, Hindley wakes, Hindley wakes, and says:
Hindley despierta, Hindley despierta, Hindley despierta y dice:
"Oh, wherever he has gone, I have gone"
"Oh, a donde él haya ido, yo fui".

But this is no easy ride
Pero no es un viaje sencillo,
For a child cries:
pues un niño grita:

"Oh, find me... find me, nothing more
"Oh, encuéntrenme, encuéntrenme, nada más.
We are on a sullen misty moor
Estamos en el nublado y malhumorado páramo.
We may be dead and we may be gone
But we will be, we will be, we will be, right by your side
pero estaremos, estaremos, estaremos a tu lado
Until the day you die
hasta el día de tu muerte.
This is no easy ride
No es un viaje sencillo,
We will haunt you when you laugh
te seguiré cuando te rías.
Yes, you could say we're a team
Sí, podrías decir que somos un equipo,
You might sleep
podrás dormir,
You might sleep
podrás dormir,
You might sleep
podrás dormir,
But you will never dream!
¡pero jamás soñarás!
Oh, you might sleep
Oh, podrás dormir,
But you will never dream!
¡pero jamás soñarás!
You might sleep
Podrás dormir,
But you will never dream!
¡pero jamás soñarás!

Oh Manchester, so much to answer for
Oh, Manchester, demasiado por responder.
Oh Manchester, so much to answer for
